Tennis Ticket Information
Tennis tickets for the Wimbledon Championships are some of the hardest tickets to secure in all of sports. They are in such high demand that they can be, for certain sessions, some of the most expensive tickets in all of sports as well. Tennis Travel Info is here to help you find exactly what you want, at the best value.
- All England Club – There are only two ways of securing Wimbledon tickets directly from the All England Club (for those who aren’t members). The first is entering a lottery held by the All England Club and guarantees absolutely nothing. Obviously when planning an abroad vacation, this is not ideal. The second is to become what is called a “Debenture Holder.” The problem with these is that they are very expensive and a five year commitment. If you are lucky enough to win the lottery then that is the way to go, but for the rest of us, here are your other options.
- Ticket Resellers – Ticket Broker sites, typically known for high prices, can be especially high for Wimbledon, given such high demand. Often times however, companies like E Tennis Tickets are a great alternative for guaranteeing yourself attendance at the Wimbledon Tennis Tournament. Great deals can also be found on ticket resale sites, such as Stub Hub.
- Tour Operators – These trips are usually not for the budget oriented (nothing when it comes to Wimbledon or London usually is), however companies like Grand Slam Tennis Tours offer travel package that include seats to the main stadiums, hospitality, hotel choices and other amenities to ensure a smooth trip. For those who have the necessary means, these packages will typically provide the better value than ticket brokers and resale sites.
- Day of / Box Office Tickets – The last option is buying tickets the day of the event. However, this option is more for the traveler who is in London and decides last minute to try to attend the Wimbledon Championships. The All England Club limits day of tickets to about 7,500 (1,500 for the ticketed stadiums, and 6,000 grounds passes). This typically means that people line up for hours before the tennis starts in order to get tickets before they sell out.
