Where to Find a Great Meal in London
AMERICAN
The Gourmet Burger Kitchen menu offers an extensive range of freshly prepared burgers to suit all tastes and appetites. The specially developed GBK sauces are made "in-house" everyday and help to define each burger. Twice a year, we refresh our menu to reflect the change in seasons, ingredients and our customers' feedback. These normally take place in spring and autumn, so you should never get tired of a GBK! |

PUBS
Where Floral Street meets Garrick Lane, Rose Street cuts between the two; here you'll find the Lamb & Flag, a small wooden fronted pub. At over 300 years, it's the oldest in Covent Garden, and possibly one of the oldest in London if claims of a Tudor past are true. |
|
Once known as the ‘Devil’s Tavern’ thanks to its delinquent clientele, the Prospect of Whitby is one of the oldest pubs in London - and the oldest riverside pub in London. Built in 1520, it managed to survive the Great Fire but a blaze in the 18th century necessitated a complete refurbishment. |
|
Once known as the Railway Tavern, the pub was reputedly renamed after a former landlady with attitude. An equally plausible explanation is that drovers and their livestock passed this way headed east to London's Smithfield Market. Whatever, 'eat heartily and give the house a good name' is the sound philosophy of the pub, which specializes in oysters, Guinness and Cuban cigars. |
